In this project the students would view two films that deal with the same topic. For instance Henry V as done by Olivier was intended as a WWII propaganda film. However, the Branagh interpretation of the play is dark and can easily be considered an antiwar film. For purposes of the project the students wouldn’t necessarily need to view the entire films but rather strategic clips could be presented in class. Additionally, there is plenty of source material for the students to use. Does anyone have ideas for other films that could be paired up.
