|  | Disney Project A lot of work is being done on the messages sent to both young children and adults through Disney movies. There are subliminal messages and outright messages that deeply affect perceptions of both body images and roles within society. Disney presents a definite lifestyle choice, and through analyzing Disney movies, these "choices" move from the private to the public sphere.
There would be many different ways to analyze:
Gender
Economy
Product placement
Image
Family
...and so on.
The new Disney Princess advertisements are huge with younger (and, admittedly) older crowds and analyzing the roles this plays in forming body images and gender roles is really interesting. (Just for an example!)  |  |
